From conception in 2001, dotUK (pronounced Dot-You-Kay (dot UK)) was formed as a complementary web development and web design company, dealing both directly and as an outsourced skillset operating behind traditional design and media companies. Our target client base has always been the North East of England, based on Teesside, but operating throughout Yorkshire, Tyne & Wear, County Durham, Northumberland and beyond. Our mentality was to be open, honest, unbiased, and un-restrictive in our work practices, an ethos which to this date is warmly received.

Through the success we had already achieved, and opportunities afforded to us a conscious decision was taken to expand our remit in early 2003. It had already become apparent that our clients were looking to us more and more for advice, suggestions, and solutions to a wealth of issues outside the normal grounds of web development. As an IT Consultancy we were reborn, our aim, to help make IT Easy in the North East.

Relying primarily on word of mouth and referrals, we like to concentrate on keeping our clients happy, and not to dilute our reputation through aggressive marketing and indirect sales tactics. We work closely with our customers, keeping them informed throughout our projects, ensuring at every stage that we're delivering the tailored service that they require.


As a team we have been working tirelessly behind the scenes in the UK IT, and Internet community for a number of years. Bringing a wealth of business knowledge and experience, from backgrounds in Electronics, Computer Retail and Manufacturing, Network Administration, Software Engineering, and Internet Service Provision.

As individuals, we work together to bring you what you need. Customer focused, and accessible we fail to see the need to confuse issues and judgement by forcing technology and jargon in your direction. Our aim is deliver our knowledge and abilities in the manner best suited to you.

We're not tied to any one platform, or any single technology. We're as flexible as you need us to be. We can, and want to help you make IT easy.
