| Web Design is more than design, and is often mislabelled, more correctly it should be known as HTML Programming. It's more than flashy animations and fancy graphics, and certainly more than translating your glossy brochures to the web. Design is important, we don't argue against that, but the understanding of the underlying technology and methods are more so. We differ from most, in that we're not a traditional Design or Media company that has turned to embrace web clients, we are programmers and developers that have the ability to turn a design into an optimised and efficient website. Understanding how web pages are delivered allows us to recommend and design sites that don't discriminate, and are accessible to all. We realise that not everyone has the latest version of Internet Explorer, and a 17" monitor. As such can deliver a site that is available to the widest possible audience, regardless of browser, platform or screen resolution. A site that conforms to the technical standards most applicable for your needs. Competencies & Technologies - HTML / CSS / Javascript

(Please note, there are a large number of our competitors who market themselves as 'Business Link Approved', and we'd like to make you aware that there is no such thing as 'Business Link Approval'. The process is that, in order to undertake work using funds sourced via Business Link, the end consultant undertaking the work needs to be listed on their Regional Service Provider Register (the NEESPR (above) for Funding in the North East). To become listed you need to fulfill a number of criteria, including supplying references and proof of appropriate Indemnity Insurances. There is not, and Business Link go to great lengths to stress that, any form of formal, or informal 'Approval' by Business Link. The only approval that is sort is that of the end client you are undertaking the work for, the purpose of the register is simply a pool of end consultants liek ourselved who can approach Business Link for funding on behalf of an existing client, or are presented to clients who go direct to Business Link, for them to choose from according to their own criteria.) |
