FundingBusiness Link funding for websites and web projects from dotUK

There are a number of factors that hold back business from embracing new technology and advancement, the most frequent being money.  Financial considerations will always be a primary consideration in any new project.  At dotUK we have access to a range of funding sources in the North East, primarily through Business Link through whom we are listed on their regional consultants register.

Availability of funsing varies, from project, to project, but as an example we are currently able to source up to 40% of the intial design, hosting, development, and maintenance costs of a new website.  Up to a maximum of £5000.  £5000 is a significatn amount of input for any web development, or other IT project, and we'd be more than happy to liase with the regional funding sources on your behalf.

Our Access

  1. Staff listed on Business Link National Consultants Register
  2. Listed on North East England Service Provider Register
  3. Access to funds via Business Link and North East Chamber of Commerce (NECC)

Sadly, we are aware that there are a large number of our competitors who market themselves as 'Business Link Approved', and we'd like to make you aware that there is no such thing as 'Business Link Approval'. The process is that, in order to undertake work using funds sourced via Business Link, the end consultant undertaking the work needs to be listed on their Regional Service Provider Register (the NEESPR (above) for Funding in the North East). To become listed you need to fulfill a number of criteria, including supplying references and proof of appropriate Indemnity Insurances. There is not, and Business Link go to great lengths to stress that, any form of formal, or informal 'Approval' by Business Link. The only approval that is sort is that of the end client you are undertaking the work for, the purpose of the register is simply a pool of end consultants liek ourselved who can approach Business Link for funding on behalf of an existing client, or are presented to clients who go direct to Business Link, for them to choose from according to their own criteria.
